I got this girl at the thrift store yesterday, and think she's so adorable. <3 She's got the cutest brown eyes, and soft silky hair. She was filthy when I got her, but she looks gorgeous now that she's had a bath. Her mane is rooted in an unusual pattern. There's a single row of white plugs down the middle, with staggered groups of green plugs on either side. And check this out.....she has bangs! (I think you UKers call it a fringe.) Her forelock is rooted straight across and intersects with her mane like a T. She's so cute! ^_^ Her belly says "(c) A.G.C. 1984" Anybody know who she is?

Strawberry Shortcake? Yeah, that was one of my first thoughts too, but I don't know anything about those, so I'm not sure.
Do we have a Strawberry Shortcake pony expert around here?

I am, I am! She is indeed a Strawberry Shortcake pony. That's the Maple Stirrup that comes with the "Maple Stirrup and the Oatsmobile" playset. This isn't my picture, but I don't own that playset, much less MIB. Note that this is the box from the 1990's release, and you have the 80's pony, but it's enough to get the point across, I'm sure. EDITED TO ADD: You actually found quite a rare little pony. The Oatsmobile set is hard to find in general, much less the 80's version of it. It had a 1990's rerelease during the G2 of Strawberry Shortcake toys, which much like the MLP G2 is not in as much favour as the other lines.

Sweet, thanks for the info Zainin! I was expecting someone to pop up and go "Yeah, I think that's a Strawberry Shortcake pony" but you totally pwned with your in-depth knowledge. Extra points for the MIB photo! So she's kinda rare, huh? Cool.

Yeah, her hair is really nice quality. That's probably how it survived so well for so long. I'm not a huge Strawberry Shortcake fan, but I think the pony is adorable. Zainin mentioned that there were two releases, so I'm assuming your black-eyed girl was the second one. Anyone know if she came in other colors? I know there's several types of Strawberry Shortcake ponies, but so far this is the only style I really like.
