Looks like this thread has gotten even more interesting! You know, what I really find fascinating - in just a cross-section of people amongst a small community, we've got so many people who identify to a sexuality that is different than the common perception that 'most are just plain straight'. If so many of us aren't in one way or another, it really flies in the face of what's considered 'normal' ... which is really comforting. For a while, I thought I was bi; I've realised over the last six months or so that I'm not, that there's just few (clothed, baby, clothed!) men I find attractive - and that's not because I actually want to do anything with them at all, it's more because I want to dress like them, LOL - in the way that straight women think women are attractive, I guess. I'm very comfortable being female and being attracted to women, I just have an inner tomboy that thinks gothed-up men are a nice way to look. One of my friends is asexual - not interested in a physical relationship with people at all, but has a very happy emotional relationship with his wife. I have to say, I think it's AWESOME that you all feel this board is a safe place to talk about these things... *glomp-hugs everyone and noms on Veda's cake*

I never thought of it that way, that in such a small community, that the majority of us arent really in the whats considered 'normal' category, but I think thats awesome, I suppose makes us feel a bit more 'normal'? lol! I dont really like whats considered normal anyhow, too boring Im starting to want to dress more girly which I find strange, I still like my jeans & t - shirts, but I am attracted to really girly shirts & stuff - I thought I was tomboyish but im starting to push away from it a bit, I am starting to feel more comfortable being girly, without the makeup though I cant stand the stuff. I like the tomboy look though XD Most of my friends are in 'normal' relationships, married with kids ect. but a couple are different, and some I have no clue, but I cant knock that cause I havent owned up to them about my own identity *shrugs* I figured out why I hadnt said anything to anyone today about it, pretty much im comfortable with who or what I am, but I dont think I could take any negative towoards it at the moment from the people in my RL circles. I dont really care what they think dont get me wrong, and if that means that they no longer stay part of my life, then so be it, but I really dont have the strengh for a freak out or something like that, and that worries me. *steals some cake from skimbles plate just cause I can*

I don't feel a need to broadcast who and what I am to people. Not only is it distracting and usually frankly uncalled for, but I don't want to be thought of as a super special snowflake that is a genderqueer. I want to be a person, and have genderqueer be a small part of who I am, not the other way around. But I also do like discussing it, and when it is on topic and relevant, I feel no shame in discussing who I am, and I'm glad everyone is so kind to hear. I'm also so glad, like Skimble said, that everyone is so open with their own selves, such as discussing their sexualities so openly.
I think that if you can't be honest with people over what you are, that you really shouldn't be their friends. If they love you, they accept you.

I don't want to be thought of as a super special snowflake that is a genderqueer. You're so funny! XP But I totally agree. I love how there's so many different types of people here. For being a small forum, we've got a wonderful variety in lifestyles. It's so nice to be able to discuss anything here and not be ashamed. <3

LOL! No worries Dita, it seems like most of our threads end up way off-topic anyway. We start off talking about fakies, then end up talking about marshmallows or something. Or we start off talking about marshmallows, and end up talking about fakies. But that's why it's fun! You never know where a thread will go.

MARSHMELLOWS!!!!! Shelle, you are not boring. Nor are you normal (I mean that in the sense that you're better than normal, LOL!). *clears throat* In answer to the original question (what am I doing right now) ... I'm actually researching pain medications from the 1800s and the history of dentistry. (An evil friend gave me a seriously evil writing challenge, LOL.) If you're doing anything wierder than that, feel free to mention it! Hey, Ace, have all the girls around here scared you yet?

Agh Glitter! *runs away and lands headfirst in the marshmellows*
Ahem on the off topicness of the off topic thread I'm just 'normal' in that sense as it were. XD
Aaand on the on topicness of the off topic thread I'm procrastinating on cleaning my room, surfing the net and listening to music. XD

I'm sorry I missed your awsome conversation, LOL, but I feel so comfortable knowing that people use this board for these kinds of convos. It just shows how close we are, even though we're scattered all over the world Right now I'm installing drivers on my laptop - I just installed Windows 7, because my laptop was loaded with trojans and virus, so I thought I'd give it a testrun.
