You might know me as Kanthaka on the MLPA, or even as Veda if you've taken to using my Real Name. I'm on the LJ fakie community with the journal name 'ohsoboring,' although I should probably switch over to my personal journal over there ('evenmoreboring,' for the curious). I respond pretty well to both Kanthaka and Veda, so feel free to call me what you please. I've been at the MLPA for a while, and my main interests are restoring and customizing My Little Ponies. I have a fakie collection of one--that one being an awesome sparkle-warrior-princess fakie from the unparalleled Shellebelle--but there are a few specific fakies that I'd love to get my mitts on. Green fakies. Mmm. So, uh... if you happen to have a spare Takara baby fakie, a green Princess Rinse 'n' Spit, or a green carousel baby on your person, I'll take it. Mostly, though, I'm not a fakie collector so much as a fakie admirer and distributor. If anyone here needs help getting their hands on an American fakie, let me know and I'll do what I can to help. I also like researching fakies and tracking down information on them. I'm not a pro at this, but I'm all for expanding my fakie knowledge! I suppose that's it? If you need anything customized or researched on the internet, don't hesitate to call.

Welcome! ^_^ You're definately in good hands. Vetten, Skimble, and Fakie Goddess know SO much about fakies!
Isn't the sparkle warrior princess pony awesome? Mine just arrived (thanks again Shelle!) and I'm so in love with her. It's soooo hard to not decard her, since I prefer all of my ponies loose, but the card displays her accessories so nicely that I can't bring myself to open her. XP

Hey, Kanthaka! I'm so glad you're here - fakie researchers, distributors, hunters and admirers are all absolutely necessary, we collectors wouldn't have our awesome herds without you! (Besides ... you know, given time, that collection of one will grow. Fakies do that to you!) Thank you SO much for your offer to help out with finding US fakies, that really is fabulously awesome of you - we international collectors wouldn't have the amazing herds we do without awesome people like you and Shelle! My warrior princess fakie is still on display, I can't bring myself to pack her away. I just need to make her a harness to display her sword, instead of propping it against her feet... (See, that's why you open her ... to sew amazon-esque gear/clothing for her. Scabbard! Baldric! Greaves ... although, not sure how I'd do a breastplate...) Welcome! ^_^ You're definately in good hands. Vetten, Skimble, and Fakie Goddess know SO much about fakies! Am I two people now? LOL! ;D

Welcome! ^_^ You're definately in good hands. Vetten, Skimble, and Fakie Goddess know SO much about fakies! Am I two people now? LOL! ;D You're so awesome that I thought you deserved to be mentioned twice. Seriously though, that's so funny. I didn't even notice that I did that. I typed one username, then (I thought) I deleted it and typed the other....man, I have really got to stop watching TV while I post. Or I should learn to proofread. XP

Aw! Good answer... LOL, I'll answer to both. I think most people know I'm both, anyway ... or they'll figure it out soonish! Proof reading still doesn't help me, I read every post over before submitting and still manage to screw it up way too often... I don't even have TV to blame for it!

Aw, thank you Knotty! I think I'll use my danish roots for spelling/typos/gramma mistakes, I've found so many while re-reading threads, it's embarrasing!

You have too much coolness for one person, Skimble! (See, that's why you open her ... to sew amazon-esque gear/clothing for her. Scabbard! Baldric! Greaves ... although, not sure how I'd do a breastplate...) This will be done. I don't know how or when, but that princess will have proper battle gear sooner or later.

Oooooh, I think this is definitely a case of two great minds thinking alike. (Also maybe two minds with spare time who like sewing/crafting and thinking about ancient weaponry and armour...) We'll have to do the great show and tell when we're both done!

Never too much geekiness! Geekery makes the world go 'round! It could be. Personally, though, I can't sew to save myself, so the end result could be very interesting indeed.

The geek shall inherit the earth and all that? ;D
Well, when I have the time and work out any good patterns, I'll post them here. Sewing's not that hard if you have the time, it's working out the patterns and everything that can tear your hair out...
