I think I forgot to ask about the blue kitty in the last photo. I love collecting fakie pony friends, and I haven't seen her before. Does she have a company stamp or date or anything on her? Also, could you snap a pic of just her? I want to swipe it for my wishlist. The kitty only has 'made in china' scratched into a back foot, no date, no company. She has a butterfly symbol on both sides. I know she also exists in pink and dark yellow/brownish, all have the butterfly symbol. She comes in (at least) two sizes, I think mine is the bigger size. I remember having two of these second hand when I was about 11 which was in 2000 but I don't know when they were in stores. I'll take a pic for you when I'm less busy, which will be soon To answer your other question: Yes the donkey-like yellow clearish fakie does glow in the dark! ;D As well as the similar pink one

Damn! So many cool fakies, I don't even know where to begin. The Simba doggy is adorable. The pink unipeg in the fifth pic is awesome as well. I haven't ever seen one like that. It almost looks like a Remco, or a fake Remco. The fake Tara fakie is cool, I didn't even know there were fakies of Tara ponies. Are the two sitting Tara babies on the right fake too? They're different the other sitting one. The modern Simbas are awesome. The pink one looks almost like a piggy pony with her dainty feet. The purple sparkly one is pretty cute too. G3s are fantastic, of course. Does the little blue sitting kitty have any markings? She seems vaguely familiar, but I can't put my finger on it. Yes, I'd love the yellow kitty! So kind of you to offer. ^_^ I'll be able to spend money again in two, maybe three weeks, so could you hold her for me? Thanks!

Wow, your vintage Simbas are amazing! Would you mind if I asked you to take some photos for me? I'm looking at updating my journal soon, and I'd love to include some pics of fakies I don't have! The rearing pony and blue-footed Dream-pose pony are Simba; the blue-footed one is one I know very little about (but there are several mystery Simbas around that we know of!) but she is definitely authentic. The yellow baby, however, looks a little more modern to me; I could be wrong, though. While I think some are vintage, I also think some are later rereleases from the feel of the plastic. The wedding pony is GORGEOUS! And oh, I'm so thrilled to see a Beauty Friend! It's just adorable! I've never seen two of the Merry Go Round fakies in identical body and hair colours, but seeing them together like that makes an interesting case for them possibly being released together. Fascinating, and thank you so much for sharing them! As for your modern Simba-style/pose ponies: The purple newborn, purple Lady Baby, pink newborn and orange DnW all come from the Glitz n' Glamour carousel set. (This set has slightly different names and adult ponies in the US and Scandinavia, but the babies are the same as the UK release.) The other ponies basically all come from various UK/US sets of fakies, many we've never seen MOC. The cream fancy pants is from a Walgreens set; as is the green fancy pants baby. The white talking pony is the famous Bride Pony. The others are all from nameless sets and most of them (except the yellow Lady Baby) have matching mothers and/or babies to collect. The problem with IDing a lot of the earlier modern fakies is that we still don't know how they were packaged or sold. They were probably, at a guess, released by the same company that released most of the US fakies - the Ponyland Pretty Pony Set (or Family) line by Gigo Toys. I hope some of that helped you, but huge congrats on a wicked collection!

Thanks for all the sweet compliments everyone! ;D *Eeek* Sunshine Pony!!!! Just like the one that I have on the far left in my siggy Congrats! Yeh, that's the one I wanted to post a pic of in your thread, but then I saw you had bought it already so I didn't post the pic anymore I really hope I can find the outfits (which I was talking about) in a friends childhood collection... Thanks! The pink pegacorn is kind of fake Remco-ish indeed I don't really consider her a fake Remco fakie though because she's of better quality and marked 'Fairlandtoy'. Her eyes and wings are a lot like real MLP. Those Tara Toys babies aren't FOF's They're marked Tara Toys, and they drink 'n wet ^___^ The little kitty has no markings, sorry I have the yellow kitty on hold for you. I am in the Netherlands though so I don't know if shipping may be too high... I'll check how much it would be soon! You would have to pay shippingcosts only ;D Wow, your vintage Simbas are amazing! Would you mind if I asked you to take some photos for me? I'm looking at updating my journal soon, and I'd love to include some pics of fakies I don't have! Thanks for all the info! ^___^ Ofcourse I want to take some pics for you! I don't think I have a lot that you don't already have though Which ponies do you want pics of? And are there any requirements? The yellow Dreamland pony is very faded

Aww, no worries about shipping. As long as it's under like $20, it'll be fine. Could you take a separate pic of the Fairylandtoy unipeg? I'd like to add her to my wishlist. Thanks! ^_^

Nice collection, xcharx!
You know I have a friend who used to live in an apartment that looked like yours. Her kitchen floor was tiled like that if my memory serves me.

The lavender Simba fakie with violet hair & glitter all over her body...never seen that one before but I'm just curious....does this fakie look like it was just coated with a clear glittery varnish on top or does it look like the glitter is actually mixed in with the plastic?
