Guinea Pigs are the greatest. They are like tiny little puppies in alot of ways. They love to snuggle. They can learn all kinds of tricks. When they see you come into the room they get all happy and start wheeking for your attention (or their dinner). They very very rarely bite. They are pack animals so they are really easy to bond with because they actually want your company. Many of mine were very attached to me and if I left the room, it didn't matter who they were left with they would cry for me until I came back. They also like giving little piggy kisses. In my opinion, they are the best rodent pets and I certainly recommend them.

Really? Cool. ^_^ I'll definately take that into consideration once we're ready to take on more pets.

Ooh, yes, guinea pigs are the best rodents by far. *gets whistful far away look* So, there aren't many dogs on here, I guess I'll add mine... Cody - dachshund mix (maybe with a sheltie or a cocker) I don't really know. We rescued him from a lady that had a supposed rescue organization. Yeah right, they had way too many animals. The ones they had though, they had all been picked up off death row. When we got Cody he had a severe heart worm issue, but 6 months and $400 later, he is a happy healthy dog and is just so good. He is so great with the kids, no matter how much they pull his ears or fur, or how much they trip over him or run over him with cars, he never bites. Never. He barks at the right situations (strangers near our house) and is just perfectly good in every other way. And that is Lady on the right. Lady -Cocker Spaniel mix pup. She is so sweet and loveable, she has the softest fur ever and is so good. She's just like Cody, she never bites the kids. Her only problem is that she pees on the floor when she gets excited or scared, but it's okay, we have tile all in our downstairs, nothing paper towel and some spray can't take care of.

Shelle, I just love looking at pics of your dogs, they're both such adorable sweethearts!
Our Toby was like that when he was young, peeing whenever he got excited (usually on the feet of guests!) but puppies grow out of that, too - they can't help it! And Lady's just so sweet...
I third the vote for Guinea Pigs, they're the sweetest rodents - I adore them. I miss my piggies!

Your bunny is adorable bren <3 Ive always wanted a bunny, but I cant have one where I live, nowhere to protect them from the elements / dogs roaming the streets / neighbourhood cats at our place if you put them out in the yard to get some grass, and I cant have them in the house with 3 kitties, they would see it as lunch! They are such an adorable pet though!

My cat got along fine with my bunnies.....in fact, he started grooming one and eventually (like, over the course of months) licked all the hair off a little spot on the bunny's forehead.

KK - its not all 3 so much that im worried about, just the 'alpha female' as she thinks she is, she hates EVERYTHING bar people, she is good with people, but she winds the other 2 up to turn on other animals as well, even though it wouldnt really bother them. Id love to get a bunny though ;D one day! lol!

Bren > My bunny licks her cage, too! It looks so funny. She often does it if she wants our attention or wants to get out and run around. Your bun is adorable! And 11 years are quite impressive
