Aww, beautiful cats! The gerbils are adorable, and Tribble's little white stripe on his nose is so precious, KK! Sorry about too many pictures, but I love my cats and our foster-babies. Daizy, the cat who owns me. She's not as surly as she looks here; as the oldest cat in the house, she mothers everyone (a role she took over from my first cat, who died not too long ago). Daizy's the alpha of the house. Yes, she even rules over the dog. Our dachshund, Gracie. She's a sweetheart, but very protective... This is Piper, the youngest. Pip's very round when she's not stretched out, and she like to help me paint custom ponies. This is Kozmo-with-a-K, my brother's cat. Momo's three, but he doesn't know he's a twenty-pound adult. He's a dope, but very snuggly; we rescued him from my grandparents' farm after his mum abandoned him. This is a kitten we fostered last year... I consider her family. She was a farm rescue, too. We called her Rose, but her new family calls her China. She's full-grown now. This is Masha, our latest foster. She was with us for over half a year, and just found a new home a few weeks ago. I miss her, but her new mother keeps in touch.

Wow, Kat, do you live on a farm or a property? What an awesome collection of darlings! (Although I will admit the spiders are going to give me nightmares, but that's my problem, not yours. I'm just amazed at your bravery, LOL! ) I feel kind of ignorant because I don't even know what some of those animals are ... and your guinea pigs are so cute! Everyone's cats are just gorgeous! (I can't help it, I love cats, so they all kind of make me go melty...) And Kanthaka, your dachshund has the sweetest expression! You can find my pets (and my aunt's dogs when they were visiting) here - I'm sorry I can't post the actual pics here, but Proboards won't accept links hosted on skydrive for some reason... cid-15097ce380bcc1dc.skydrive.live.com/play.aspx/Pets?ref=1

lol I added a common species name next to each of their names so you can just pretend you knew it all already. I live in a house and most of the critters live in the pet room. It's a very.....interesting.....room. It's connected to our bedroom so they aren't too far away from me and I can make sure they are always ok. My pets are my life and I love them all so much. They can be alot of work, especially since alot of them are actually senior citizens at this point and are starting to require special care as they near the ends of their lives (alot of the pictures are a few years old). They are worth it though and I wouldn't trade them for all the ponies in the world.

lol I wouldn't recommend it. Squirrels aren't great pets. Shadow will cuddle a bit, but Pocket would rather just climb and bounce on you and gets annoyed and will sometimes bite when restrained. I don't recommend squirrels as pets ever. Typically, when they reach maturity, they become aggressive and difficult to handle safely. I love my 2 but I wish they could be released. Shadow actually has 2 brothers, Okoru and Maro, who were released but Shadow has issues. She's very dependent. She's easily terrified and clings to me when she's afraid. She's not aggressive at all, ever. You really shouldn't be able to safely pick up and restrain a squirrel the way you can her. She also freezes when she's scared and won't move. If I tried to release her, she'd be cat food. Pocket is aggressive sometimes, but he was rescued after a hurricane tossed him into a neighbor's yard. His eyes weren't even open yet. My husband raised him with cats and he thinks cats are friends. My cat, Kyo, is probably one of his best friends. He's not afraid of them at all and that's not safe either. Oko and Maro (like Shadow) were raised by me and I tried to keep the other animals away as best I could. They are possibly too familiar with people but they still fear other predators. They also both get very aggressive when scared. They hoperfully are doing well now as wild squirrels. I miss them but I'm happy I did a good job and raised them well enough to make it as wild squirrels.

I just noticed that one of your guinea pigs has my real-life first name. How are guinea pigs as pets? I've heard mixed things, but I've had most other types of rodents (rats, mice, hamster, gerbils, bunnies, etc.) and have been considering adding a couple of guinea pigs to my family after we move.
