So I have an absoloute bucket load of G3 MLP's still in boxes.. [Bearing in mind I have limited spacing to keep them.]
I'm considering de-boxing them, but I don't know if I should do to value and what-not. But spacing.. ARG!!
I was just curious to know which ones it is safe to and which to not de-box ect.
Any help would be appreciated, tnx.

I think that most G3s are worth only a couple dollars less if they're loose instead of MIB. Of course, rare/valuable ponies (Port-O-Bella and Anchors Away come to mind, but there's others too) would probably be best left in their boxes. I'm a serial de-boxer. My only MIB is Port-O-Bella, because she's sought-after now and I'm kind of hoping that she'll be valuable MIB someday. But I plan to get a loose one so that I can have one to play with too.

Most G3s really aren't worth much more boxed, as KK said, except for some rares. This question would be easier to answer knowing what G3s you have, but at a rough guess, any 2003 G3s would be better boxed, most super-long-hairs, some dollar store exclusives, most holiday exclusives, many non-US exclusives and any really desirable or HTF G3s, IF you're collecting for value. But to be honest, I've deboxed every G3 that comes my way, including fair and comic con exclusives, because I don't keep my collection MIB at all. (To me, it's no fun that way.) So in the end, it really comes down to what you want from your collection. If you want to open them all and enjoy them, go for it. If you're worried about value (I'm not, I don't collect for resale value) then start by making a list of what you have and researching their rarity on the Arena and collector's websites. So many collectors have kept their G3s MIB, though, that it's really not the issue it is with vintage G1 ponies. There will be plenty of MIB G3s around for collectors, so there's really no problem in opening them and enjoying them loose.

Kiwi tart is worth a little more, depends on which release of rainbow swirl, silver glow and seaspray are also a little more saught after, but I dont think it would affect their price by much, after all its up to you, if you want to sell them on in the future, id keep them in their box, if your not looking at getting rid of them & would rauther just enjoy them, then debox
