So, er. I'll get pics tomorrow, but the fiance's asleep and I don't want to wake 'em by digging out the ponies. I just got my My Little Pony collection back today. I've moved out of my parents' house and they were still with them. I unpacked them and discovered two problems. I have a So-Soft North Star and a So-Soft Surprise. Both, however, at some point lost about... 80-90% of their flocking. It might have been when my mom took them out of the garage... she said that she washed them and it might have sloughed off, as it sometimes can. Personally, I never cared for So-Softs, so I'm okay with them being flocking-less, even if it destroys any value they may have because I never intend on selling them. They're from my childhood and all my childhood ponies are... GENERALLY in good shape. I was good to my toys. Anyway, the problem lies in that I want to take off the rest of the flocking, as right now it's fairly ridiculous. Like, they have a lot missing off the bodies but there's random clumps. It's still mostly stuck around the hair, ears, concaves in the hooves, and so forth. Thing is I'm terrified I'll accidentally smudge or remove the symbols and eyes and such if I proceed further. Is there any advice anyone can give me on finishing the job of stripping their flocking? EDIT: Here's the photos. It's much more visible on North Star than Surprise, which is why she has the most photos, but I assure both are about the same.

I've never de-flocked a pony myself, but I have browsed the deflocking threads at the Arena. I know that acetone works really well, but of course you can't use it on eyes and symbols, cause it'll remove the paint too. Also make sure you wear gloves and do it someplace well-ventillated, since acetone is kinda toxic. For any flocking left on eyes and symbols, I think very hot water and scrubbing will do the trick. Best of luck! Let us know how it goes.
